MUNDARING WEIR

Public BBQ

Mundaring Weir offers a convenient picnic spot right near the car park, with modern gas BBQs, clean toilets, and sheltered areas. The facilities are well maintained, with taps at the tables and a small playground for kids. Kangaroos are frequently spotted around the grounds, often with joeys in their pouches. The site features rose gardens and connects to a short walk down to the Mundaring Dam lookout. It can get busy and fills up quickly on good weather days. The area closes at 6pm, which some visitors find odd since wildlife becomes more active in the evening. While the location is a bit tricky to find for first-timers, it's a solid choice for families wanting a day out with all the basics covered.
